Abstract

In vitro study on effect of the methanol extract from marine sponge Acanthodendrilla sp. on mast cell degranulation induced with the white hen egg antigen actively, which different concentration have been studied. Result showed that methanol extract from marine sponge Acanthodendrilla sp. on concentration of 400 g/ml decreased mast cell degranulation passive and actively induced with the 50 % concentration of the white hen egg antigen. Aminophyllin was used as standard, on concentration 100 g/ml decreased mast cell degranulation actively induced with the 50 % concentration of the white hen egg antigen. From the study showed that the effectiveness of methanol extract of marine sponge Acanthodendrilla sp. was 0,25 times than aminophyllin. A major compound was isolated from butanolic fraction of this sponge. It was separated by using coloum chromathography with stationary phase silica gel and sephadex LH-20, yielded a compound as colourless crystal, 60 mg which degradated at 255oC. Based on infra-red spectroscopy data and some chemical reactions, this compound was predicted as alkaloid.
