Abstract

Power flow anaysis is a very basic study in elecrical power system planning and operation. Many methods such as Gauss Seidel, Newton Raphson and Fast Decoupled, are common used for this analysis. But these methods will fail if they are used for unbalance power system, like distribution system.This paper discribe three phase power flow analysis for radial distribution system using direct approach method. This method is accurate but simple. Testing on standart sistem IEEE 13 bus radial, shows an acceptable result. This method applied to Bawan feeder (Pasaman). The result shows a litlle unbalance in that distribution sistem. Key words: Power flow, unbalanced system, radial, distribution system
