Abstract
This research is based on the provision of KUR by PT BNI Tbk to selected UMKM in Padang. KUR gift is one form of concern BNI to develop UMKM who have contributed significantly to economic development in lndonesia. BNI has given KUR to UMKM since 2007 according to lnpres No.6 I2007. Purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness UMKM using the KUR to run its business. This assessment by using the ratio of activities. after research conducted during December 2O1O against 12 selected UMKM obtained any results on the effectiveness UMKM that 25% increase, 33o/o fixed and 44o/o decrease. from this research can be concluded that administration of KUR by BNI when judged from the ratio of activities classified as not effective. this is because KUR given is not so big, high collateral requirements and lending procedures difficult.
