Abstract

A research on the metal content of Cd, Cu and Pb contained in potato (Solanum tuberosum L) and the soil where it grows has been conducted. Potato samples firstly destructed with the mixtures of 60% HNO3 p.a and 60% HClO4 and the soil samples extracted with NH4OAc 1 N. Metal content determined by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS Rayleight WFX-320). The result of research shows the average of metal concentrations of Cd, Cu and Pb from both samples of 2 farms, it is obtained the amount of metal concentrations which is contained in soil affects the amount of the absorbed metal content in potato plants. Analysis based on the contents ratio of the absorbed metal content in potato plants in locations of agricultural field 1 (Koto Baru), Cu 0.503 ppm and 0.129 ppm Pb is relatively larger than the metal content at the location of agricultural field 2 (Balingka), Cu 0.177 ppm and Pb 0.085 ppm except for Cd 0.501 ppm in the location of agricultural field 1 and 0.640 ppm Cd in the location of agricultural land 2. Concentrations for all three metals Cd, Cu and Pb do not'exceed the limit of metal content, although it is naturally obtained that metal content Cd is quite large.
