Abstract

Micro and small-medium business has a a really strategic position in Indonesia. There are so many peoples get involved with this type of business so that emerge significant impact in economic of this country. The research identify the readiness of micro level business based on financial and human resource in order to use micro credit policy. Indonesian government has campaigned for 2005 as micro-credit year following United Nation global campaign. It is done by asking micro level business actors in Padang. Samples were choosen by purposive method sampling which considere the variety of business, how long it has been established, and business performance-showed by 174 samples. As a result, all respondens declare that they are ready to use micro credit policy which has given many advantages to them (no collateral, simple procedures, etc). However, it is showed by the research that they are not ready yet in financial and human resource. To analyze data, multiple regression statistical method was used and helped by SPSS 11.5 version for windows. Financial aspect and not human resource has became significant influencer to their readiness for this policy.
