Kecemasan merupakan suatu penyerta yang normal dari pertumbuhan,
perubahan, pengalaman dari sesuatu yang baru dan belum pernah dicoba, dan dari
penemuan identitas diri serta arti hidup. OSCE adalah salah satu bagian dari ujian
komprehensif yang menguji keterampilan medis mahasiswa yang akan memasuki
kepaniteraan klinik. Meskipun ujian ini hampir serupa dengan ujian skills lab tapi
materi ujian lebih banyak dan setting ujian menuntut mahasiswa untuk melakukan
ujian tersebut secara cepat, tepat, dan lengkap, sehingga ini merupakan
pengalaman baru bagi mereka. Situasi tersebut menyebabkan timbulnya
kecemasan pada mahasiswa menjelang OSCE.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat kecemasan
dalam menghadapi OSCE dengan nilai OSCE mahasiwa FK Unand. Penelitian ini
merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 35
orang. Data mengenai tingkat kecemasan diperoleh melalui wawancara kepada
peserta OSCE dan data mengenai nilai OSCE diperoleh dari bagian Akademik FK
Unand yang selanjutnya dianalisis melalui uji korelasi Gamma dan Somers‟d.
Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar -
0,042 dan nilai signifikansi >0,05. Dengan demikian, terdapat korelasi negatif
yang tidak bermakna antara tingkat kecemasan dengan nilai OSCE mahasiswa FK
Unand. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat
hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat kecemasan dalam menghadapi OSCE
dengan nilai OSCE mahasiwa FK Unand.

STUDENTS’S VALUE OF OSCE IN FACULTY OF MEDICINE
ANDALAS UNIVERSITY

Anxiety is a normal concomitant of growth, change, experience of
something new and untried, and from finding self identity and the meaning of life.
OSCE is a part of comprehensive exam that examine medical skills of the students
who will enter their clinical stage. Although this exam is similiar like skills lab
exam but the matters of exam is more complex and the setting of exam ask them
to do it quickly, appropriately, and completely, so this is a new experience for
them. These situations cause anxiety in students toward OSCE.
This study aims to determine the correlation between anxiety level in
dealing objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) with students‟s value of
OSCE in Faculty of Medicine Andalas University. This research is a descriptive
analytical and total of sample is 35 people. Data of the level of anxiety was
obtained through interviewing the students and data of OSCE‟s value was
obtained from Academic Department of Faculty of Medicine Andalas University
then it was analyzed by Gamma and Somerd‟s correlation test.
The result of this study is found a correlation coefficient (r) is -0,042 and
level of significance >0,05. So, there is the negative correlation and not
significance between anxiety level with OSCE‟s value in students of Faculty of
Medicine Andalas University. Based on the result, it can be concluded that there
is no correlation between anxiety level in dealing objective structured clinical
examination (OSCE) with students‟s value of OSCE in Faculty of Medicine
Andalas University.
