Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN FLY ASH TERHADAP KUAT TEKAN MORTAR SEMEN TIPE PORTLAND COMPOSITE CEMENT (PCC)DENGAN PERENDAMAN DALAM ASAM Oleh YaniMaretisa SarjanaSain (S.Si) dalambidang Kimia Fakultas MIPA UniversitasAndalas DibimbingolehZamzibarZuki, M.P danYulizar Yusuf, M.S Penelitian mengenai pengaruhpenambahanfly ashterhadapkuattekan mortar semen tipePCCdenganperendamandalamlarutanasam telah dilakukan.Penambahanfly ashdibuatdenganvariasi 2%, 4% dan 6% dari total semen yang digunakan lalu dilakukan pengujiankuat tekanterhadap mortar untuk menguji kualitas dari semen yang telah ditambahkan fly ash. Mortar yang merupakancampuran semen, pasirdan air dalamperbandingantertentu, direndam di dalamakuadesdanasamselama 3, 7 dan 28 hari. Dari penelitiandiperoleh, kuattekan mortar semen yang direndam di dalamasammengalamisedikitpenurunan bila dibandingkan dengan kuattekan mortar semen yang direndam di dalam akuades. Selama perendaman ada mineral yang berasaldari mortar yang larutkedalamlarutanperendam. Hal ini terlihat dari pengukuran nilai pH, TSS, TDS dan kadar logam Fe, Ca dan Mg larutan perendam. Dari hasil pengukuran diperoleh dengan bertambahnya persentase fly ash maka pH, TSS, TDS dan kadar logam Fe, Ca dan Mg dari larutan perendam juga mengalami peningkatan. P and Yulizar Yusuf, M. S Research about influenced of adding of fly ash to compressive strength of mortar Portland Composite Compound(PCC) by immersing in acid is done. Adding variation of fly ash is 2%, 4% and 6% from the total cement. After that is tested the compressive strength of mortar to determination the quality of cement. Mortar is mixture of cement, sand and water, is immersed on acid during 3,7 and 28 days. The result is compressive strength of mortar that is immersed in acid is decrease with increasing the percentage of fly ash if compared with mortar that is immersed in water. During immersion, there is component of mortar is dissolve to immerse solution and is tested the pH, TSS, TDS and metal content (Ca, Fe, Mg) from immerse solution. The result is increasing of adding fly ash make the pH, TSS, TDS and metal content increase too. Key word: PCC, fly ash, mortar, TSS, TDS
