Abstract

This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University from July to November 2012. A completely randomized axperimental design was used. The first factor consisted of 4 stages and the second of 2 levels. The data were analyzed using the F test. If the differences were significant at the 5% level then Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) was used also at the 5 % level. Overall there was no significant interaction between potting medium do growth of cuttings. The longest root length was obtained with a sand : soil : rice husk mix. The best cutting for seedling growth and formation was the base of the leaf. Keywords: Sansevieria fischeri, potting media and the leaf cuttings
