Abstract
Lack of entrepreneurship activity can be lead to high levels of unemployment because there
is no expansion of business activities. This is due to entrepreneurial activity in Indonesia is still lower
than the number of individuals who are active in starting a new business. One cause of low actifity is,
people who have higher capability and higner knowledge, prefer become job seeker than job creator.
Student Entrepreneurial Program of entrepreneur which has been run by the Andalas University since
2009 not provide optimal results. Until now there are many who receive Student Entrepreneurial
Program funds not managed to use the funds that have been awarded the maximum extent possible.
Factor is a deficiency in the system of selecting recipients of funds by the Andalas University, one of
them is the selection is done only based on the business plan without selecting grant recipients
entrepreneurial competence not based on the criterion or indicator is set. This research was initiated
by charging the answers to the questionnaires to students Student Entrepreneurial Program grantees
as many as 33 teams with 11 criteria. The criteria which used is market reach, business networking,
smooth cash flow, monthly income, the amount of turnover, asset value, variety of products, long last
business, number of employees, innovation, and intellectual property rights. The next step is
calculating the validity, reliability testing, and test cluste. The results of the team's calculations of
weighted clustering criteria with AHP method to determine the priority level for each criterion. Based
on the design of new entrepreneurs measure success by results obtained AHP Student
Entrepreneurial Program criteria priorities following the highest priority is the monthly income with
weighs 0.173 and the second priority is a variation of the same product with a value which is equal to
0.173, the third priority is the business network with weights 0.136 , fourth priority is the value of
assets with weighs 0.123 fifth priority is business survive long with a weight of 0.119, the sixth
priority is innovation with a weight of 0.064, is the seventh priority market reach with weighs 0.048.
As for the eighth criterion or priority is the smallest in the success of IPR (Intellectual Property Rights)
with weighs 0.030 with 7 new group of entrepreneurs that D’ 777 hammie, Kedai Herbal, Dork Music
Studio, Cafe Lelaki Chef, Big Bang Painting Digital Shop, Galery Sepatu Lukis dan Budidaya Itik
Petelur can represent the success of new entrepreneurs at the Andalas University.
