ABSTRAK
This reseach was conducted from August to September 2013. Study aimed
at evaluating the implementation of crop-ruminant livestock integration program
by government agencies, and the implementation of programs within the group.
The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The results
showed that the implementation of crop-ruminant livestock integration program
management has technically refer to the guidances issued by the Department of
Animal Husbandry. Of the twelve categories in the implementation of cropruminant
livestock integration program, eight categories have been implemented in
accordance with the procedures while other four categories have not been carried
out in accordance with the guidelines. However, the implementation of integration
programs in essence were limited to merely a colony cages at the same location,
whereas for cattle management and integrated crop management were done
individually by member of farmer groups. The results of this study suggest the
evaluation of the implementation of crop-ruminant livestock integration program
need to continue to examine how the integration program is supposed to be
implemented starting from crop management, animal management, and integration
of both in groups so that the benefits and risks can be shared by group members.
