ABSTRAK
Proses pengobatan dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa cara salah satunya adalah
dengan injeksi antibiotik. Injeksi antibiotik menyebabkan nyeri ringan hingga nyeri
sedang. Hal ini karena reaksi obat masuk ke dalam sirkulasi darah secara langsung
yang dapat mengiritasi dinding pembuluh darah sehingga menimbulkan rasa nyeri.
Penatalaksanaan nyeri secara non farmakologi yaitu dengan penggunaan methyl
salicylate 10% patch. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh
penggunaan methyl salicylate 10% patch terhadap tingkat nyeri pada injeksi
antibiotik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental dengan post
test only with equivalen control group. Penelitian dilakukan di Ruangan Irna Bedah
Pria Dr.M.Djamil Padang pada tanggal 27 Juni sampai 16 Juli 2014. Sampel dalam
penelitian ini adalah 30 orang responden. Prosedur dalam penelitian ini yaitu 10
menit sebelum diinjeksi antibiotik methyl salycilate 10% patch ditempelkan di atas
proksimal 10cm dari penusukan infus. Setelah diinjeksi antibiotik tunggu 15 menit
kemudian methyl salycilate 10% patch dilepas dengan arah dari atas kebawah.
Analisa bivariat dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji wilcoxon.Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu
tingkat nyeri pada pasien yang diinjeksi antibiotik tanpa penggunaan methyl
salicylate 10% patch didapatkan mean yaitu 4,37. Tingkat nyeri pada pasien yang
diinjeksi antibiotik dengan penggunaan methyl salicylate 10% patch didapatkan mean
yaitu 1,60. Jadi terdapat pengaruh penggunaan methyl salicylate 10% patch terhadap
tingkat nyeri pada pasien yang diinjeksi antibiotik. Disarankan kepada perawat untuk
dapat menggunakan methyl salicylate 10% patch sebagai penatalaksanaan nyeri pada
pasien yang diinjeksi antibiotik.

ABSTRACT
The treatment process can be done in several ways one of which is the injection of
antibiotics. Antibiotic injection causes pain mild to moderate pain. This case because
the reaction of the drug into the blood circulation directly which can irritate the walls
of blood vessels, causing pain. The non pharmacological management of pain with
the use of methyl salicylate 10% patch. The purpose of the study was to determine the
effect of the use of methyl salicylate 10% patch on the level of pain on injection of
antibiotics. The research design is quasi-experimental with post-test only with
equivalent control group. The study was conducted at room Irna Bedah Pria
Dr.M.Djamil Padang on June 27 until July 16, 2014 sample in this study was 30
respondents. The procedure in this study is 10 minutes before the injection of
antibiotic methyl salycilate 10% patch taped over 10cm of the proximal insertion of
the infusion. Once injected antibiotics wait 15 minutes and then 10% methyl
salycilate patch released with the direction from the top down. Bivariate analysis in
this study is the Wilcoxon test. The results from this research that the level of pain in
patients injected with antibiotics without the use of methyl salicylate 10% obtained a
mean of 4.37 patch. The level of pain in patients who injected antibiotics with the use
of methyl salicylate 10% obtained the mean is 1.60 patch.Decrease in the mean
between pain in patients who injected antibiotics without the use of methyl salicylate
10% patch with pain in patients who injected antibiotics with the use of methyl
salicylate 10% patch is 2.77. Suggested to the nurse to be able to use methyl
salicylate 10% patch as pain management in patients who injected antibiotics.
