Abstract
Has conducted research on Diptera larvae bioecology on fitotelmata in endemic areas of dengue hemorrhagic fever ( DHF ) in West Sumatra which aims to determine the type of fitotelmata , larvae , and to analyze the relationship between fluctuations of larvae Diptera with climatic factor in the endemic area in West Sumatera. The results of research and analysis that has been done can be concluded that , the types of fitotelmata found in three locations in dengue endemic areas in West Sumatra is composed of 15 families , 20 species and 6 types fitotelmata . The types of Fitotelmata which specified for sampling are four types: family Pandanaceaea (Pandanus amaryllifolius / pandan) ; Araceaea family ( Colocasia esculenta / taro); family Bromeliaceae ( Ananas commosus / pineapple ) and family Bambusaceae ( Bambusa vulgaris / bamboo ) . Type of Diptera larvae were found on fitotelmata consists of : Ae . aegypti , Ae . albopictus , Cx . tritaeniorhynchus Ar.subalbatus ( Culicidae ) , Chironomus sp . ( Chiromonidae ) , Tipula sp . ( Tipulidae ) , Psychoda sp . ( Psychodidae ). The Fluctuations of the individual larvae number vary each month starting in September increased both by location and by type fitotelmata . The number of individual larvae was positively correlated with humidity and rainfall for ( r = 0.534 ; < 0.01 ) and ( r =
0.418 , p < 0.01 ) , but negatively correlated with temperature ( r = - .418 , p < 0.01 )
