Abstract
The experiment was conducted in Payakumbuh from Oktober 2001 to February 2002. Treatments were the time of obtaining stem cutting after pruning: 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 days after pruning. Treatments were arranged in Randomized Block Design with five treatments and three replications. Data were analyzed statistically using F-test and Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test at 5% level. Result indicated that pruning 30 days before obtaining the stem cutting was the best for the growth of pepper seedling. Key words: stem cutting, pepper
