Abstract
The aim of this study were to show the performance of proteinous food consumption of Faculty of Agriculture Andalas University students and to analyze their reasons to consume the proteinous food. The samples were the student of Agriculture Technological Program Study who did’nt live with their families (n = 40 students). Of the 40 students who participated on this study, at the end there were only 30 students who had been analyzed. The data were processed and analyzed by using SPSS 11,0, and Microsoft Excell. The result showed that there were not significantly different between different income, except consumption of chicken meat, (p=0.000), but the reason to consume the chicken meat were not significantly different (=5%).
