Abstract

This study was conducted in Tigo Suku, Paninjauan village, X Koto sub district, Tanah Datar during the period of June to September 2003 using case study method. The aims of this study were to analyse working pattern and the use of labor; and to calculate income of UMS Nusa Indah members. All members of UPPKS Nusa Indah are women because UPPKS Nusa Indah is a kind of woman farmers group. The study reveals that members of group got involved in all farming activities on their land with the exception of land cultivation that was done by men. The use of labor involving group members was 50.9 man hours per season. Average income of each group member as a worker on their land for four seasons was Rp.200 000 consisting of Rp.50 000 in 2001, Rp.50 000 in 2002 and Rp.100 000 in 2003. In season of September 2002 April 2003, this group lose about Rp.873 000 due to diseases. Key words: income, women labor analysis, household income
