Abstract

Service delivery of goods (expedition), has important role in supporting national economy. Importance of expedition service seen on transportation and distribution tools, so that earn goods distribute efficiently with accuracy and speed in export activity and import at national and international trading. The aim of this research is to identify potency and characteristic of expedition business ( delivery service). For the purpose, researcher use SWOT analysis to identify various factor systematically to formulate strategy. The data obtained from various literature. The result of this analysis of the external and internal environment (analysis of SWOT), expedition services have enough opportunity to expand, but there is still faced resistances. These resistance have to overcome not only by expedition industry but also the government role. Except resistences from the expedition services ourself, should correct himself by empowered the human resources that seen as a weakness for along time. By reduce the weakness and to strengthen the exixting power, so this service could increase more better. Keywords: Forwarding, SWOT, Expedition.
