Abstract

A social service in the fom of extension and utilization of narrow- spece backyard through hydroponic system has beed carried out at unand residential area of Ulu Gadut from June to August 2007. The objective of this program is to improve people’s participacion in utilization of narrow- spece backyard of urban areas through growing of vegetable and fruit crops using hydroponic system. The activity has improved participants’ knowledge on hydroponic system and the utilization of backyard for growing vegetables and fruit crops. The long term objective will be of improving famili nutrition
