Abstract

This arlicle want to explain about voting behaviour of young voter in 2004 General Election at Kota Padang. By using quantitative approach with survey research type and Chi square and coefficiency of contingency for hypothesis test, the result of this research explain that voting behavior of young voter to vote DPD member influence by candidate orientation. Mean while, voting behavior of young voterto vote president influence by party identification. Than, this research explain that when vote for legislative member, young voter does not have an relation with party identification, campaign issue and candidate orientation.
