Abstract

In their independent era, Moslem countries are sti I I dependent upon their former colonialisfs in nearly all aspects of thei r I i fe. Thi s dependency i s due to thei r wander at the Western development and their grief to their underdevelopment. Most governments of Moslem countries adopted Western and secular educational systen. Thei r traditional leaders maintained traditional Islamic educational system which nainly developed the study of revelation and consequently led to social and cultural backwardness. The Western systen could not produce creative, innovative, and active Moslem youths because of their cultural background, and at the same time they suffered the lack of Islamic vision. Srnce Qoranic and the Prophetic hadith also rnsist Moslen to study natural and social phenomenon based on revelation ds well ds factual reason, the dichotomyc system in Moslem education should be reformed and integrated in order to get rid of therr backward condition and not to fall again into the Nestern social, hunan, and environmental crises.
