Abstract

Urban developnent seriously affects urban conmunity Iife. There is a trend the development actives directed to suburb areas where I and i s sti I I used by traditional farmer. This essay describes the way of suburb people of Jambi adapt to the change of land function. The writer discusses the problems i n a sociological perspecti ve wi th system theory, because so far the development planers tend to neglect socio-cultural aspects in their product.
