Abstract

Five species of wood termite were collected in The Educational and Biology Research Forest of Andalas University, Padang, West Sumatera. There are Nasutitermes matangensis (Haviland), Odontotermes sarawakensis Holmgren, Globitermes sulphureus (Haviland), Mauotermes carbonaius (Hagen), and Schedorhinotermes javanicus Kemmer. The number of species at the high location ( 400 m alt.) was lesser than there at the lower location (375 alt).
