Abstract

The populations of bivalves at seashore of Teluk Bayur, padang were estimated by using quadrat methods, where there were 8 families counsist 20 species. The species Gafrarium tumidum and G. pectinatum were consumed by the local peoples, and the consentration of copper on that species were 12.0 to 17.0 and l2.4to 14.3 ppm respectively. The densiry of these two bivalve were 6,20 per m2, and they frequency of occurance were 99%.
