Abstract

Cationic dyes, i.e., methylene blue, malachite green, rhodamine B, methyl violet, have been used to extract and to determine the Cu (II), in the form of dichlorocuprate (I), spectrophot ometrically. Both maiachite green and methylviolet form an ion association complex with dichlorocuprate (I). These complexes are extracted easily into chlorobenzene and benzene, respectively.
