Abstract

Health problem during pregnancy until the delivery process of the baby is still being the concern of persons in charge due to the high rate of mortality and morbidity of pregnant women in Indonesia. One factor which responsible for this matter is the high rate of mothers who terminate the consultation process during pregnancy which result in difficulties in diagnosing the problems experienced by the mothers. The late treatment in detecting this problem causes the increase of morbidity risk. The preventive efforts have been made by related departments such as management improvement in advanced treatment. This effort will decrease the mortality and morbidity rates. This risk factor is getting bigger in rural area which is usually far from health facilities. Therefore the increase of health volunteer involved in health service is an interesting solution.
