Abstract

Community service activities, entitled Socialization Planting Sweet Corn in the city of Padang has been implemented with farmers' groups Gadang house, village Ambacang Market, Kuraji Padang District. This activity is carried out since July to October 2009. Activities are designed in the form of focus group discussion method Group Discussion (FGD), making demplot, and mentoring. Technical guidance planting sweet corn (sweet corn) implemented in the form of field activities in the area of discussion 8 x 10 meters. The results of activities of technology transfer has occurred and increased knowledge of farmers about the cultivation of sweet corn (sweet corn).
