Abstract

An experiment was conducted to determine what or genotypes of the available genotipees to grow on soil covered by what kind of mulch at a medium elevation to obtain better growth and yield. The experiment was conducted at Cijedil village, Cipanas subdistrict, Cianjur regency, West Java, from March to Junel997. The treatmenti were complete combination of genotipees of potato, viz, (1) Atzimba >< DTO-33,(2) LT-9 >< TS-3, (3) Serena >< LT-7, and MF-I >< TS-3, and kinds of mulch, viz. (1) rice straw, (2)rice hull, and (3) black plastic sheet. Structurally, the interrelation among the growing components and yielding components to ward wet tu- ber in a plant that affected directly was the height in a plant on the soil that was coYered with straw mulch and rice hull. The amount of seedling affected directly the weight of wet tuber in a plant growing component and yielding component of the potato genotype on the soil covered with black plastic sheet mulch was not significant in the weight of wet tuber.
