Abstract

The aromatic nucleophilic substitution is reviewed with emphasis on the application in industrial process activation by transition metals. In the first sections, general mechanistic and synthetic features are summarized. It is shown how role of leaving group, nucleophiles and subtituent electron withdrawing in the substrat halogeno-aromatic. The catalytic activation of Ar-X bond by Ni, Pd, Cu and possibility products industrial of the arilation nucleophile is also briefly mentioned.
