Abstract

Religion is as guidance in life, its absalute tuth bears fanatic attitude to its each aCherent. But the out of control fanatic attitude often appers conflict and stress among differen religion adherent that the end of it can threaten developmen's Frocess and community {rowth The histarical background abov'e encourages researcher to implement a reseatch in transmigration area. IVest Sumatera, Generally and in Kab.of Pasaman especially, The porpuse of this research ls how to knaw the condition of Religion Harmony, its development, and ist effect to the development program in that transmigration area. The is an exploratory research by usinS descriptile method, normativ,e sociology. Data are found from formal and non formal leaders of community and Ieaders of relegion whom considered properly by technique of observation, interuiew, and questloner whlch composed qualitailvely and quantitatively, and are suitable with its each chararteristic of data.
