Abstract

The study on the effect of zeolit and liquid fertilizers to the grofih and production of upland rice had been done fromDecember 7992 to May 7993 at Plant Physiology Lab., Biology Department, Faculty of Sciences, Andalas Universiry. Completely randomized design in factorial was used in this srudy with 3 repiications. The first factors were 0, 4, 8 and t2 rcn/ha zeolit and the second factors were 1 ml/l metalik, 2.5 mlll sitpzime and without liquid fertilizers as control. The rezults showed that 8 ton/ha zeolit had increased the amount of total tillers and productive tillers of upland rice, but not happened to the heighr of the plants. Metalik and sitozime had not affected the height of the plant, the amount of total tillers and only metalik had incresed the amount of productive tillers. The biomass of roots and shoots had enhanced *'ith zeolit treatments while seed weight had increased at 8 ton/ha. Metalik and sitozime did not affect the biomass of roots and shoots.
