Abstract

The experiment on the growth of durian seedling grafting on several dosages of NPK (15-15-15) fertilizer was carried out at Lubuk Minturun, sub district Koto Tangah, Padang, during the period of August to November 1999. The objective of the experiment was to find out the best dosage of NPK (15-1.5-15) fertilizer o4 the growth of durian seedling grafting. The experiment was arranged in Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were dosages of NPK (15-15-15) fertilizer : 1 g ; 2 g; 3 g; 4 g; and 5 g / seedling. Half dose of fertilizer was applied two months after grafting and the rest one month later. Result showed that the growth of durian seedling increased as the dosage of NPK (15-15-1t feriilizer applied increased. Application of NPK (15-15-15) fertilizer 5 g/seedling was the best and the seedling was good enough to be planted in the field.
