Abstract

The antibody production by the white rat Rattus norvegicus after boostering increased twenty times than that of the non booster male white rate group. In this study, an injection of HbsAg was given to two groups of white rat Rattus norvegicus (A & B). group A consisted of 3 females white rat as the experimental object and group B consisted of 3 male white rat as a control. HbsAg was given intramusculary to both groups at day 1st, 9th, 15th and 19th. The blood serum was absorbed ten times in three day interval. The antibody production in blood serum was detected by the ELISA (Enzym Link Immunosorbent Assay) method. The results showed that the production of antibodies was much highest in the female white rat than the group. An increase in the antibody was seen at 5th ini female group in the amount of 83 times than the first sample; the highest antibody production was found after the first booster for about 9555 IU/ml. the highest antibody production af the female group was only 491 IU/ml at day 20th.
