Abstract

A research was carried out to study the growth charateritics of maize at location of low and high elevations. The goal of this resenrch was to contribute to the development of crop science, especially the plant ecophysiology. Two field experiments were execute from March to August 1998, each at Agricultural Extension Station, Sicincin, for low elevation and Assessment Institute of Agricultural Technology, Sukarami, West Sumatera, for high elevation. The experimental data was analyzed by regression analysis. The results of experiment indicated that the weekly value of LAI, CGR and NAR of maize were higher at high elevation location.
