The result of this study showed that in the global marke! the Indonesi. an palm oil rnarket share was just leading in the West Europe rnarket. In this market, the palm oil from Malaysia and the rest of the world have the ability to take over the market and replace the Indonesian position. The market in USA, India, and Pakistan, howeyer, the palm oil marhet share was dominated by Malaysia. The palm oil from the exporting countries of the rest world was higher in Japan import market. Especially for the USA market based on the import substitution elasticity analysis, the Indonesian palm oil has a supplement character toward Malaysian palm oil.
