Abstract

The screenning microbial produce of P(3HB) using colouring in-vitro method by Nile Blue A 1% in ethanol method was carried out. Soil and water sample were taken at several places in West Sumatera. Results showed that there were nine species gave positive reaction with Nile Blue A exhibited a strong orange fluorescence under Ultraviolet λ 365 nm. The species of microbial were of Bacillus brevis (FAAC 20211), Bacillus sp1. (FAAC 20212), Bacillus alvel (FAAC 20213), Serratia liquafaciens (FAAC 20214), Bacillus circulans (FAAC 20215), Pseudomonas sp. (FAAC 20216), Alcaligenes sp. (FAAC 20217), Enterobacter sp. (FAAC 20218), Bacillus sp2. (FAAC 20219) respectively. Keywords : bioplastic, Nile Blue A, P(3HB).
