Abstract
It had been investigated the influence of halide ions on corrosion of steel in sulfuric acid solution. The result indicated that the higher halide ion concentration in the solution, the less lossing weight on steels in the order : (Cl- + Br- + I-) > (Br- + t-) > (Cl- + I-) > (Cl- + Br-) > (l-) > (Br-) > (Cl-). The photo of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that chloride ions covered surface of steel during corrosion.
