Abstract

The aims of this activities were increasing of poultry productivity through repairing of their rearing system and utilization of plantation/agriculture waste such as cacao fruit skin and tofu waste which was fermented by Neurospora crassa in their ration. Fermentation product with high β carotene contain could be as an alternative feed for corn and concentrate substituting in poultry ration. The method in this activities were counseling of poultry rearing system with appropriate with the five principles theorithical in rearing system (Panca Usaha Ternak), demonstrations and training about the agriculture waste fermentation by Neurospora crassa,the counseling of the ration formulation by using fermentation product, the trial and demonstration of fermentation product feed in poultry ration, the poultrymen counseling and discussion about poultry and their rearing system in field. In conclusion, the poultrymen at Pakandangan countryside were enthusiastic received this activities, because at the time the corn and prize and its availability were high and limited at marked. Where as in fact at their countryside cacao fruit skin is available and potentially for poultry feed after mixing with tofu waste and fermented byNeurospora crassa. The poultrymen suggested this activities are conducted continuously for increasing their skill and knowledge in poultry rearing system.
