Abstract
It has been conducted an experiment to determine cyanide content by indirect Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry using batch and micro column niethods. The result showed a significant relationship between cyanide concentration and absorbance using either batch or micro column method. The data that were calculated statistically showed the value of correlation coefficients r : 0.995, sensitivify (b) : A.24A9, slope of log-log plot (br"*) : 0.995, and elative standard deviation (RSD) 1.69 o/o for micro column, and r : 0.999, b - O.b:qZ. bro* 0.843 and RSD : 0.83 o/o for batch. Both systems has been utilized for determination of cyanide concentration in waste u,ater and it level obtained 0.056 ppm cyanide with lA5 % recovery for micro column and 0.049 ppm cyanide with 98 % recovery for batch methods. It concluded that both system do not significantll' difference (P<0.05) for determination of cyanide in waste water.
