Abstract

The images of working in the novels appeared in two ways. They are viewed in terms ofthe mode of existence ofthe working-women and ofthe perceptions and attitudes of people in their social environment such as hus- bands, sons and doughters, and their colleagues. Applying this method, the working women appear to be ambivalent. On the one hand, they are appear to be men's equals as they are able to be active in public sectors, to be ready to stand on their on own feet, to be able to aftain achievements by them- selves and to have their own identity. On the other hand, they working women appear to still keep the idea of distinguishing which of famalejobs and of malejobs which is based on the worldview that men are superior. The working women seem to be still in the state of confusion between to change and to sustain the androcentic percep- tions.
