Abstract

The experiment on the effect of gambir leaf extract (Un- caria gambir Roxb.) ta Spotlopteru litura was conducted in the laboratory of Plant Pest and Disease Faculty of Agri- culture Andalas University from November 1999 to Feb- ruary 2000. The aim of this experiment was to study the effect of gambir leaf extract to S. litura. The experiment consisted of 5 treatmens and 10 replications. The treat- ments were : control, extract of tips, extract of young leaves, extract of old leaves, and extract of waste, was amanged in Completely Randomized Design Results showed that extract of tips and young leaves reduced feeding S. litura at the average of 25% and larval weight significantly lower than control, extract of old leaves and extract of rvaste.
