Abstract

The purpose of the study is to describe the effect of cement dust on the growth of plant species, with inoculant MVA at housing in the vicinity of Cement Factory. It had been conducted from February till December 1999. The method used is, by placing five kind of plants with MVA at the polluted area (cement dust). The same treatment were held in free pollution area as the comparative. The result of this study revealed that three species out of fine, namely Acasia mangium, Myristica nticroflora dan Swietenia mahagoni, showed the positive respon to the growing significantly Key words: plant - Vasicular Arbuscular Mycorriza (MVA) - cement dust - environment.
