Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the sffects of stocking density (8, 12 and 16 fish 90,28 L) on the growth and survival rate of cel ,Fluta alba Zuiew reared in 90,28 L drum of oil in 40 days culture periode. The average absolute individual weight growth rate of fish, the average daily weight growth rate of fish and the average absolute length rate of fish stocked at 8 fish/90,28 L (14,51 g; 0,326 g/day; 8,10 cm respectively) were significantly different with stocked at 12 fish/90,28 L (11,80 gr; 0,295 gr/day; 6,60 cm respectively) and 16 fish/90,28 L ( 9,50 gr; 0,237 gr/day; 5,23 cm respectively). The value of eel survival rate was the same for all treatment that was 91,66 o/o. The highest growth rate of fish was obtained in drums of oil at 8 fish/90,28 L.
