Abstract

Starch and cyanide degrading microbes have been screened from liquid waste of tapioca industry of PT Incasi Raya, Sawahlunto sijunjung. Eight bacteia species resistance’s to cyanide have been identified their genera and three of them degrade starch. All of eight bacteria lowers inorganic cyanide concentration in water. Starch and cyanide degrading microbe could be applied for the treatment of waste of tapioca industry, and for fermenting starch to produce high-fudose syrup.
