Abstract

Internal barrier of seed set in an interspecific hybridization of oilrape {Brassica napus) and wild "jabung" (8. juncea) was observed on stage of embryo development by a parafin method. To study the fairlure of e embryo development, concentration of IAA, zeatin and GAr in the ovules were measured by a thin layer chromatography - spectrophotodensitometry method. The result showed that internal barrier of seed set in a cross combination of oilrape (maternal parent) with 6'jabung" was occured at heart stage, meanwhile the concentration of IAA decreased drastically from 15.08 to 5.69 ng, that of zeatin from 32.29 to 11".95 ng, and that of GAr from 3.38 to 1.74 ng per 100 mg dry weight of ovules at the heart embryo stage. In the reciprocal cross combination, internal barrier of seed set was occured at torpedo stage, meanwhile the concentration of IAA was sharply declined fuom 17.77 to 5.08 ng, zeatin from 33.89 to L5.77 ngo and GAr from 3.98 to 2.14 ng per 100 mg dry weight of ovules. Based on study of IAA, zeatin and GAr contains, and stages of emkrryo development would summarized that decreasing of three growth hormones in heart and torpedo embryo stages causes the embryos could not develop to next stag.
