Abstract

Systemic resistance in red chili to antrachnose disease was inducted with self pathogen virulent through pass to fruifs. Induction method was carried out by spread inoculum of pathogen on surface of young fruits. The research was designed in completely randomized design with four treatments and six replications. Induction consist of : 1) without induction (control); 2l one induction; 3) two times of induction; and 4) three times induction. Inducted fruits were cutted after spot of symptom is visible on the fruits. The plant of four treatments were inoculated with same pathogen inoculum. Result showed that intensity of disease on plants with two times of induction (23,14o/o) and three times of induction (18,67o/o) much lower compare to plant without induction (30,78) in first harvest. In second harvest, intensity of disease on plants with one induction (26,23sh) much lower corirpare to plant without induction (29,53Vo\. The lowest intensity of disease was got on plant with three times of induction in third harvest (8,69'h). Criteria of inducted plant resistance try two times is classified susceptible of while plant without induction to be high susceptible. In third harvest, criteria of inducted plant by three times more resistant inducted plant try one induction and two inductions are classified susceptible, while plant without induction is high susceptible.
