Abstract
Education is a systematic effort to develop the intellectual life of the nation, in line with the message and guidance of the Indonesian 1945 constitution. Nevertheless, in the practice the education faces various dilemmas, particularly as it is connected to the economic development that sustainly being carried out here. The economic development pushes the education to serve its interest. Besides, inconsistency on the educational policy that taken by the government is a crucial issue: any new minister of education tend tol produce new and dffirent policies. Our system of education seems to quickly produce policies but so weak at the level of implementation.
