Abstract

This article discussed about poverty at peasant society and it relation with their action and motivation in poverty based on research by author in 2002. The result of research show basic of action and motivation of poor peasant in struggle their life signed by work hard and differentiate source of income. Their poor condition is not caused by low of their motivation or their laziness. But why are they still poor ?. This things can be explained with What processes which produce their poor. The first is the lack of human resource like education and knowledge. The second is caused by they can not make use of many opportunities, the third is too many of children that they have, the fourth, is the lack of economic support resource like rice field and unirrigated field. And the end is the weak of social and kinship bond.
