Abstract
The main commpound such as hyptolide and a triterpenoid has been isolated from Hyptis pectiana and Hyptis sttaveolens. Purification of ethanol extract from the leave of Hyptis pectiana gave the white nedle crystal, m.p 88,5oC, sp: 7.43, λ ethanol =212 nm spectrophotometer infra red data gave charactericric peak at 3450, 3080, 2985,2960 cm-1 white from petrolium ether ectract of Hyptis suavealens after purification by column chromatography gave an amorphous compound, showed characteristic peaks at 2825 2775,1705,11680, 1440, 360, 1340,1140 and 880 cm -'
