Abstract

The effect of the infuse af Mesona palustris BL leaves without and with rice starch, wheat starch and sago starch on white male rat of LMR strain was studied using in vivo method. This decreasing effect on post-prandial blood glucose respons after feeding of 2 ml suspension of sago starch 10% w/v with 2 ml infuse af. Mesona palustis BL leaves, was greater significantly (p<0.05) compare than the feeding without the infuse of Mesona palusstris BL leaves in 1 hour time period, it tended to decrease, although no significantly different. Using the sago starch and wheat starch, added with the infuse of Mesona palustris BL leaves on 0.5 hour time period found to decrease post-prandial blood glucose significantly (p<0.05) compare than rice starch without the infuse of Mesona palustris BL leaves.
