Abstract

In society that extended family still have great roles, the hausehold responsibility not only become responsible of merried couple, but it is olso responsibility of kinship members. Normaly there is no violence in matrilinel kinship system like minangkabau culture, infact many case have been reported to police. The problem to be solve in this program is haw to empowering women and extended family to avoid violence in haushold. Perpetuation program used the empowering method. By training and illumination, this programs have increased ability and knowledge of participants. Programs Conclusion are 1) need to avoid violence in haushold, because it will influence harmoni of family., 2)Women need to be empowered and given knowledge about violence, 3)need for socialize the KDRT low.
