Cummunity counselling and services about gold snail pest control and its use had been held at Sibaruas Village, Sungai Limau Sub-District, Padang Pariaman Regency. In this village the gold snail pest attacks rice plants, result in low yield. To control this pest, the farmers are used to pick it one by one. Those need time, energy, and extra expenses as well. The objectives of this activity is to transfer the knowledge and skill about easy and cheap way to control gold snail pest in rice field and then to use it as a fishmeal substitution in poultry diet. This activity was aimed at: l. To help farmers how to over come gold snail pest attacks. 2. To reduce the diet cost by using gold snail as fishmeal substitution. It was hoped that the farmers income increased. Lectures, discussions and demonstrations were held in the room. Plot demonstration was employed at farmer's rice field. The result from plot demonstration showed that building ditch at edge of rice field using riped papaya skin was the best way to control this attack. To control the eggs of gold snails were to stick a branch or a stake at edge of held. It was done to make gold snails to lay their eggs at that branch, so it was easy to us to collect them.
